How did you get started as a freelancer?

What made you decide to jump into the freelance world? Was it that jobs weren't as plentiful as they used to be? Work not paying enough? I started freelance work, because I wanted a change. I was tired of the same job, making nearly nothing in the process. It was draining my life away and I was in need of a change. So I took it and started doing freelance work. I haven't looked back since and I have no intentions to ever do so. What was your reason for getting into freelance work?

I imagine it is, simply because we're social distancing, and doing freelance work online is probably the best thing you can do until things clear up. I personally feel this pandemic is going to last another year or more. This is why it's probably a good idea to look into freelance work, as you can do it from the comfort of your home.
